Santa on Fire Engine and Canned Food Drive

Santa will be escorted on Berlin Fire Company Ladder Truck on Saturday, Dec 20 WEST of Rt 113. The routes will be EAST of RT 113 to include Glen Riddle, Gum Point, Friendship, Bay Street, Flower Street, Germantown, Decatur Farms, Gull Creek. If you live in a subdivision such as Glen Riddle and Decatur Farms it is impossible to travel on every street. Please come out to the "main roads" as you hear the sirens. The van following will be collecting canned food donations for local food banks. Sunday, December 21 will be WEST of Rt 113 that includes Downtown Berlin, Broad Street, Henrys Mill, Buckingham Estates, St Martins. Reminder that the van behind will be collecting canned goods for local food banks and we cannot traverse every street, if you live in a subdivision please come out to the "main roads".
90th Annual Pennewell Memorial Service

We attended Stevenson United Methodist Church as we have done on the first Sunday of February since 1935 to remember our only line of duty death of Vice-President Franklin Pennewell that occurred on February 12, 1934. We are glad that his granddaughter is able to attend with us. A fellowship meal followed as provided by the church family. More information can be found by visiting http://berlinfire/history
Adkins Company Building Fire--Harrison Avenue

Initially alerted for a fire alarm activation, first responding units found the center office section of the building with an active fire. Berlin Fire Company was assisted by Ocean Pines, Showell, Ocean City, Newark, Snow Hill, Bishopville, Powellville, and Willards Fire Companies.
Bass Lane Outside Fire
Jan 29, 2025
A fire started on Bass Lane and extended to properties on Trappe Rd and into a large wooded area. Fire extended to a small garage and enclosed trailer and many acres of open field and woodlands. This required mutual aid responses from our neighboring companies. We strongly discourage open burning during dry and windy conditions
