Fatal MVC with Rescue - Route 50 WB east of Route 589

At 0059 hours, units were dispatched for a motor vehicle crash in the area of Route 50 and Route 589. Units arrived to find an SUV off the road, with one patient trapped inside. EMS crews assessed the patient and determined the patient to be priority 4. Crews remained on scene awaiting the arrival of the medical examiner. Upon arrival of the medical examiner, crews assisted with removing a door from the vehicle to help remove the patient. Maryland State Police and Worcester County Sheriff's Office completed the investigation. Assistant Chief Derrick Simpson had command of the scene.
