Barn Fire - Route 113 and Route 589

Just prior to 6pm on Saturday, October 30, 2010, the box alarm was dispatched for a commercial building fire in the area of Worcester Highway and Racetrack Road. The initial box alarm brought Showell, Berlin, Ocean Pines and Bishopville to the scene. First arriving units from showell reported a horse barn fully involved. Units went to work to protect exposures and contain the fire. After approximately 3 hours the fire was brought under control. Chief Chris Cropper had command. Berlin responded to the fire with Engine 604, Tanker 6 and Ladder 6.
