New EMS equipment placed in service

Over the past month, the Berlin Fire Co. EMS has been field trialing an IV chiller from Engel. The reason is studies have shown that post cardiac arrest victims have a significantly better survivability rate if their temperature is cooled after successful resusitation. After a positive review of the chiller, the BFC purchased an additional 2 chillers to outfit all of our ambulances. The BFC strives to provide the best EMS service for all our patients and this is just another example of that.
