Commercial Building Fire

On August 10th, 2015 @ 05:01 hours Berlin Fire Company was alerted to 111 Bay St. for reports of a building on fire with fire showing through the roof. E-608, E-607, Tower 6, Ladder 6, Rescue 6, and Command 6 all responded. E-608 and Command 6 arrived first to find a small outside fire on the A side of the building. A single 1 3/4" hand line was pulled and the fire was quickly extinguished. The crews from E-608 and E-607 made entry into the building to check for extension while the crew from Tower 6 through ladders to the roof, again to check for any extension. All reports from both crews came back negative. The scene was turned over to the Worcester County Fire Marshal's office soon after.
